Christopher Frigo, D.D.S.
As a young boy growing up in New Orleans, Dr. Frigo learned early the power of goal- setting and dreaming “big”. He was first exposed to the world of orthodontics at the LSU School of Dentistry where he was accepted as a teaching- case for the students to practice orthodontics. It was in those early years of his life at the dental school where Dr. Frigo would find what would later become his passion. The mentoring that the dental students provided to Dr. Frigo as a young man would prove invaluable and later pave the way for future achievements that would define his life. Taking a cue from the students treating his own mal-occlusion, he began setting goals, or what he likes to refer to as dreams with deadlines. His first goal was to earn a college football scholarship to help fund his education.
After doing so, ultimately playing for LSU on the 1986 SEC Championship Football Team, he set his sights on dental school in preparation of becoming an orthodontist. He graduated in the top of his class and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. And after a three year stint in the Air Force where he completed an Advanced General Dentistry Residency, he practiced general dentistry for two years in private practice before accomplishing his next dream of entering into the orthodontic residency program at LSU School of Dentistry where it all began for him. Dr. Frigo encourages all of his patients to reach for the sky and dream big! His personal journey is a testimony to the power of goal-setting, hard work, and determination.
The youngest child of seven, three brothers, and three sisters, Dr. Frigo loves children of all ages and while practicing orthodontics is his passion, the love of his life is the time he spends with his wife and family. He is married to his former college sweetheart, Kerri Breland of Bay St. Louis. They have four children: Sarah, a model working in New York and abroad, Lindy, a design major at LSU, Christopher, a political science major at the University of Lafayette, and Craig, a senior at St. Stanislaus College.
In his free time, Dr. Frigo also serves as the offensive line coach at St. Stanislaus College and plays the guitar or ukulele while listening to G-Love, jack Johnson, and Jimmy Buffet! He is past president of the Mississippi Association of Orthodontics, an active member of Sacred Heart Church in Dedeaux, Mississippi. His interests include fishing, skiing, weight-lifting, and spending some quiet time with his wife!
